Cambridge Entrance Canopy Structures
Specification
Comprised of four main components
. Toughened glass cover
. Carbon steel framework and integral gutter
. Carbon steel cover plates
. Carbon steel frame bolted back to the building
The glass is supplied in panels with silicone joints over the steel
arms, all edges are polished and the glass fittings are in 316 stainless
steel.
The framework which is bolted to the building will depend on the design
of the main structure. On a new build, consideration must be given to
the imposed loadings at an early stage of the design process.
Canopy steelwork is fully welded, shot blasted finished to give an approximate
15 or 20 year maintenance life depending on which finishing system is
used. The finished coating can be to any RAL or BS colour.
