Uxbridge Entrance Canopy Structures
Specification
Mild steel framework, shot blasted, primed and two top coats to any
standard RAL or BS colour. Circular tubular columns chemically anchored
to a suitably prepared concrete base. Circular tubular beams with end
plates for fixing back to existing building face, or alternatively additional
columns can be supplied to free stand structure.
UV protected solid polycarbonate glazing fixed with two part glazing
bar. Glazing bars are white as standard but can be to any standard RAL
or BS colour at additional charge.
Rainwater gutters can be included to both eaves with down pipes supplied
to discharge at ground level.
The Uxbridge Entrance Canopy is a fully adaptable barrel vault design
with a maximum width of 5.5m. The smaller range of units are supplied
with a factory finished cover whilst the larger units are site fitted.
Cantilever designs are available but the building fascia must be able
to take the imposed loadings.
Two or four posts are more common, especially when adding an entrance
canopy to an existing building.

A colour matched Uxbridge entrance canopy incorporating side panels to temper the strong side wind that previously tended to pull the door away from the unwary user.
National Grid / Drewmark, Hinckley, Leicestershire
The support columns on this Uxbridge were specified to fall outside of the existing hand rails, so as not to impede access to this office block. The powder coat finish matched the colour of the existing hand rails.

This 2.26m wide x 2.03m deep Uxbridge entrance canopy was designed to fit over the new steps and wheelchair access ramp.

3 identical canopies were supplied to a residential development, covering the entrance security systems whilst keeping the elements off the residents gaining access.
